This button down was my first attempt at direct garment embroidery. It did not go well. You can’t really notice it here, but the tugging that happens while the fabric undergoes tightening under the hoop stretched the silk fibers in the shirt. Stretched them so much that there are holes here and there around the outline of the hoop. Additionally, I wasn’t feeling that design too much. I nixed it and moved on.
